This easy marinade is my new go-to recipe for grilled pork chops. A true transformation. Pete says the pork chop tasted like steak.
Grilled Pork Chops Marinade Recipe
1//4 c olive oil
2 T soy sauce
1 t Montreal Steak Seasoning (recipe for a substitute)
Measure ingredients in a gallon size zipper seal bag. Add the chops. Close the bag and turn until the chops are coated. Put the bag in a flat baking dish and marinate in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
For 4 medium chops.

This is how we make them. Cut the potatoes uniformly so they cook at the same rate. A wedge cut produces a slightly chewy texture with a crispy caramelized edge — my favorite. Cut thinner if you like your fries more crispy.
Baked Sweet Potato Fries Recipe
- sweet potatoes (at least one per person), peeled and cut uniformly
- olive oil to lightly coat
- salt and cumin (optional) (also try garlic powder or cayenne)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Toss potatoes in oil (use a bowl or plastic bag).
Arrange on non-stick baking sheet. Don’t overcrowd. Season as desired.
Bake until lightly brown on the bottom. Flip over and brown the other side.
- marinated grilled pork rib chops
- sweet potato fries
- salad: romaine lettuce, arugula, Spanish onion, and tomatoes
More ideas for Dinner Tonight
Dinner Tonight was a great and terrible idea. I like sharing my dinner ideas. It kept me posting every day and trying new recipes. But it’s getting in the way of my writing about other things. So I’m putting it in its proper place. Dinner Tonight is officially moving to a once a week post.
