True confession #1
I don’t think I’m ever going to post a smoothie recipe.
True confession #2
Unless I’m baking, I rarely measure when I’m in the kitchen. Smoothies are great because they’re quick. To me, this means no measuring.
True confession #3
I don’t have too many food pictures because when I’m in the kitchen, I’m usually in a hurry. The last thing I want to do is stop and take a picture.
But this time I did.
Here’s my non-recipe. This is how I make most of my smoothies.
If you’re using frozen banana, take that out first.
Add to your high speed blender in this order:
Handful of greens. Could be as little as a couple of leaves to an actual fistful.
Nuts/seeds. A teaspoon to a handful. If I’m making a meal of it, I go with the larger amount.
Almond milk or other liquid. Pour until it almost reaches the 1 cup mark on the blender. You can always add more if you need it.
Berries/other fruit. About 1/4 – 1/2 cup per serving.
Frozen banana. About 1/2 – 1 per serving.
That’s it; it’s never the same. Blend and enjoy!
